I fold the trail rag in half to pick up hot pots from my camp stove. I also tie it on my pack strap to wipe my nose with, no more of the cave man stuff of using my sleeve or glove.
I really like this trail rag. I’ve only used it twice, but both were extreme times. Once when it was below 20 degrees and once while snowing. It works as well as advertised, and will always be a part of my pack while hiking now. Personally, I wish it was bigger for myself, but it works just fine for what I need it to do. I highly recommend. Don’t let cost deter you from something that will likely last you forever.
For $30 this is nothing more than a thin washcloth. Overpriced!

We’re sorry to hear the Trail Rag Elite wasn’t what you expected. It’s definitely different from a traditional washcloth — it’s made from a premium 100% Merino wool, which is naturally antimicrobial, fast-drying, and designed for hikers who need something that stays fresh on long miles and multi-day trips. Because of those properties, it looks and feels very different from cotton.

Well crafted lightweight and super necessary. This is very nice. Dries quick. Doesn't stink. Super accessible with caribiner loop. This is a fine piece of kit. Stoked.
