Merino Wool "Trail Rags"
Merino Wool "Trail Rags"
The product that started it all….
Decide which size and color of our Premium New Zealand sourced 100% Merino wool Trail Rag suits you best. While many hikers may choose the large as a towel to dry off after bathing or other uses that require more surface area yet still conveniently attaches to the pack, the smaller size will appeal to climbers and trail runners or anyone that just wants a more minimal Trail Rag while our medium hits the sweet spot right in between. Whether it is used to wipe sweat away while hiking or to grab the handle of your hot cook pot, we know you’ll find multiple uses for it along your way. Merino wool’s natural antimicrobial properties and it’s ability to resist retaining nasty odors make it the perfect fabric choice for your endless days on the trail. Attach the loop to your pack and away you go! We hand-cut, sew & assemble each item individually right here in northern Illinois. Happy trails!
Simply hand wash/lay flat to dry. (Off trail, feel free to machine wash using a “delicates” cycle and tumble dry on low)

Just received my 2nd one, first time around I bought a small, it's either attached to my pack or in the wash. Bought a medium this time around and will be using it on my annual trip to Big Bend.
I use the small daily, I have four dogs (GSD/MAL, GSD and two Chihuahuas) so I do a lot of walking/rucking with them when not out on the trail. It's hot down here in Texas, my Trail Rag is an essential piece of gear, I would have melted a long time ago without it.
Buy one or two - you will not regret it.
I have one of the trail rags and have used it for some time now. But for Christmas I ordered one for my wife. She has eye issues where her eye waters a lot. She was so excited saying that she will now have a way to wipe her eye without having to use her dirty hands while backpacking. We just returned from our first trip with her new trail rag in the Chisos Mts of South Texas. She loved it and used it constantly. It helped her eye to keep from getting infected. A must have for backpackers.
Excellent gear! Dries quickly, doesn't stink after heavy use. Nothing bad to say.
I’ve owned a half dozen of these trail rags over the years and they are my absolute favorite! I have one for each pack. They’re very soft and do their job well and I recommend them to anyone looking.
Perfect little size for on the go and reusable.
